Grilled Pizza

Ever since I saw Kelly's recipe for homemade grilled pizza a few months ago, I've been itching to make some!

This past week, while visiting my family, we gave the pizza a try.  It was so delicious, we made it again before we headed home {where we are currently grill-less}.

Grilled Pizza - Adapted from Kelly
{Print Recipe}
Makes 5-6 individually-sized pizzas

1 recipe, pizza crust
8 oz. tomato paste
2 tsp. Italian seasoning
1 garlic clove, minced
Toppings, of your choosing

Prepare the crust as directed.  The crust recipe we used (which is now my favorite recipe) takes 30 minutes to rise and about 10 minutes to make, so in 40-minutes you can be ready for pizza!  I highly recommend this crust.  It's amazing on the grill.

While the crust rises, prepare the pizza sauce by first sauteeing the garlic in just a few drips of olive oil.  Then, add in the tomato paste and Italian seasonings.  Remove from the heat and transfer to a small bowl {you'll want to take all the toppings out to the grill}.

Place remaining toppings in small bowls, ready to take them out to the grill.

When the dough has risen, divide the dough into 5-6 equal parts.  Roll each out into a rectangle or circle for individual pizzas.  Lightly spread each side of the dough with olive oil.

Clean off the grill well, and pre-heat it to medium heat.  If you have a grill spray, spray it.  Otherwise, use a cooking spray and spray the grill so the crust doesn't stick.

Place the crust onto the grill, close the grill and cook over medium heat for about 1 minute.

Then, flip the crust over and assemble the pizza.

Close the lid and cook the pizza until the cheese is melted.

Enjoy!

Look at that crust...

Yummy!

Thanks, Mom and Dad for letting us use your grill!! These were awesome :)
