1 Tbsp. oil
Brown in large pot, then add:
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 large onion, chopped
1 bay leaf
2 Tbsp. salt
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. pepper
Assorted chopped vegetables (potatoes, carrots, green beans, broccoli)
4-6 cups water
Simmer all ingredients for about 1 hour, then add 2 packages brown gravy mix (with just enough water to mix them) (Mom usually just adds one gravy mix and it still turns out wonderfully:) Serve hot with breadsticks. Makes 4 servings. (It made more like 6-8 servings for us [Lara's family]) .
