Cheddar Chicken and Pasta Bake

Frog Prince made me a total comfort food dish while I was down and out with the flu.

It was delicious.

Doesn't it look like a good comfort food?!

When we make it again, I'll add spinach (or broccoli) and mushrooms!  Yum.

Cheddar Chicken and Pasta Bake - Adapted from Cynthia at What's For Dinner

1/2 lb. pasta, any
4-6 oz. extra sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
~1 chicken breast, shredded
Italian seasoning (use liberally)
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/2 C milk

Prepare pasta according to package directions, until just about done.

Meanwhile, dice/shred the chicken, and shred the cheese.

Lightly grease an 8x8 inch glass baking dish. Then, pour in 1/3 of the pasta.

Top with 1/3 of the shredded/diced chicken.

Layer over the Italian seasoning, salt and pepper, and then top with cheese.

Repeat layers,

ending with cheese on top :)

Then, drizzle 1/2 C milk over the top of the dish.

Yum.

Cover with tinfoil, and bake at 350 for ~20 minutes.

Remove the tinfoil, and bake uncovered for an additional 5-10 minutes, until cheese is nicely melted.

Enjoy!
