Candy Cane Bark

Tasty dark chocolate and minty peppermint.

I've only met one person who doesn't enjoy this combination...., thus, I thought you all might enjoy another nut-free bark recipe.

Peppermint Bark - SnoWhite

1 C dark chocolate chips
1-2 candy canes

Melt the dark chocolate chips in the microwave (or stove top; your choice).

While the chocolate melts, unwrap and break apart the candy cane(s).

Place the candy cane pieces in your food processor and pulse until broken into small pieces.

When chocolate is melted, pour onto a piece of parchment paper. Then, spread the chocolate out thin and evenly using a spatula.

Then, sprinkle the crushed candy cane over the top of the dark chocolate.

Lightly press the candy cane into the chocolate, so the pieces don't fall off when the chocolate hardens.

Allow the candy cane bark to cool, either on the counter or in the refrigerator. When cool, use a pizza cutter to cut the bark into pieces.

Chill pieces on a plate. This will help make sure the pieces do not stick together when you store the bark.

Store bark in an airtight container, in a cool place (like the fridge).

This recipe is very flexible; make as much or as little as you want.
