Talented Jenn over at http://www.leftoverqueen.com/ has hosted the second edition of the Foodie Joust. This months ingredients for the Joust were peaches, honey and eggs as chosen by last months winner Jennifer at http://www.andtheeggs.blogspot.com/ . There were so many wonderful recipes to choose from, but, what first came to my mind is not really a recipe at all but a beauty secret. Not necessarily my beauty secret, but, a home remedy for a facial. Even though this recipe is not food related and is not "droolworthy" I decided to enter anyway. It kind of fits my quirky ways. It is a real recipe...I promise....I found it years ago in a magazine and use it periodically. It meets the criteria by using honey, peaches and eggs!!
Grind 1 T almonds into a fine meal in a blender or food processor. Mix almonds together with 1 T honey and 1 eggs white. Apply to face and let set for about 15 minutes. Gently wash off with a damp cloth...or not....
Cut a slice from a peach and rub it all over your face. Leave it on for 20 minutes or more and then rinse it off.
I would have photos , and it would be imaginative, but that would NOT be pretty...so NOT. So close your eyes and envision yourself with the drying mixture on your lovely skin with 2 round peach slices on your eyes. That is how I will envision you! Wink...wink....
This brings a whole new meaning to a "peaches and cream complexion".
